  The Palacio de Cristal is a beautiful place in the centre of the park. The inside of the small building is worth visiting. Next to it is a little pond where you can watch ducks and even turtles.

  One of the most beautiful and mesmerizing structures I have ever seen. I was given the advice to go to El Retiro Park while I was in Madrid. Most people mentioned being able to see the boats on the lake in the middle of the park. As I am a runner I always like to explore cities by running them to find cool and beautiful places (usually by accident). This was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. It is a free museum and a great way to pass time. There were two exhibits when I was there and one of them was the boat seen hanging. The views were stunning and I would say this is definitely a MUST SEE!

  A beautiful glass and iron structure originally created as a greenhouse over 125 years ago, with majesty and presence to this day. It is situated on a lake in the Parque del Retiro in Madrid. The lakeside setting and the greenery surrounding this building are the perfect setting. There is a rather unique connection to this building with Christopher Columbus which may be found briefly described in Wikipedia.

  Gorgeous structure that is being taken great care of. The exhibition we saw was a perfect match with the surroundings; the water drops sparkled like diamonds in the sun let into the glass structure. Well worth a visit
