  This is the world's oldest running restaurant in Madrid. It has an amazing ambiance; old brick passages to different eating areas. You must try the suckling pig. I am an animal lover and it's a little hard for me but the flavor and the way they prepare the meat is too amazing to pass up. It is an amazing restaurant in every way.

  Historic restaurant with traditional, Spanish dishes. Wait staff was phenomenal. Step back in time with comfortable atmosphere. Located immediately South of Plaza Mayor on historic location to Madrid's history. Get there for lunch or dinner!

  You have to make reservations. This was the best restaurant I've ever eaten at in my life. It is 400 years old!! We sat downstairs, and it was like walking into a different era. The bread is very good, as well as the white asparagus and white sauce. The suckling pig is to die for. So GOOD. It melts in your mouth--they use the same oven they've used for 400 years. We also had the Iberico Ham with melon. Everything was so amazing, service was wonderful. They even came down and played music for us, it was all very wonderful. You have to come here.

  Absolutely lovely experience at a European mainstay. We had delicious meat entrees with yummy veggies on the side. Although the place was very busy the waiters were attentive and courteous. Great evening. Reservations are a good idea. The restaurant itself was beautiful inside and out.

  The meal eaten at this restaurant made me fall in love with Spain. I ate alone and was serviced excellently by the wait staff and the food was delicious and promptly served.
