  We visited Madrid on vacation and used the Metro exclusively to get around the city. The Metro is fast (never waited more than 8 minutes), it is very clean, and extraordinarily safe.

  Best way to reach all of my destinations here - job, school, friends, parks, all places is very eassy to reach by very fast underground transport in Madrid. Everyday, I going by metro and I never hadT problems with that. This is faster transport than car or bus. Also, with one month ticket is even cheaper. I am sure that in this city I will go by metro all the time.

  An important consideration for tourist, I would recommend this over renting a car. There is very limited parking in Madrid and lots of traffic.

  Madrid's Metro is great! During the days the metros are always on time and there is no problem with them. However, if you will like to take it late there will be 15 minutes wait. But that is not a problem just keep it in mind if you will like to use the metro late you will have to wait. If not just use a cab. Might be more expensive but it's good.

  Maybe not the fastest as you might have wait few minutes for best train, however it's very fast once on board.

  Only downside is that the Metro is out of service from 1am to 6am. I realize that 1am sounds pretty late, but in Madrid, that is like late afternoon. Seriously.

  I love the MAdrid Metro. I am from California where this form of transportation is not available. SO i really enjoy being able to hop on the metro and go anywhere in Madrid especially since I am a foreigner this makes it easy for me to get around. It is also very good for night life because it runs unitl 1:30am. I would definitely recommmend this to people. It is affordable and it comes every 8-10mins.

  The lines are well planned and it seems as though every corner of the city is linked, especially for tourists. It is very easy to navigate with the color coding. This is simply the BEST way to get around the city.
