  My only annoyance with this visit was being constantly followed around by a very miserable, stern looking security guard and over the top in carrying out his job, however given that this is an old stadium and may not have the security features other stadiums have, this may explain this.

  You can combined the Museo with a Tour at Estadio Vicente Calderón (strongly recommended).

  We visited this stadium as an off the cuff something to do. The Museum has lots of history and the museum is well worth a visit.

  The tour is guided which will appeal to some people but not others, you got access to all areas, including being able to sit in the dug out, which is something that you cannot do at all other stadium tours, you can tell that the Stadium was built in the 1960's as it does look dated, however given that they are moving to a new stadium is to be expected.

  The Atlético de Madrid Museo is interesting. A lot of history is at disposal with large and important cups, clothes and even very old footballs.
