Beautiful gardens and building with well preserved interiors. Exhibition is well curated and with additional materials gives good overview of artists life. Tickets are only €4.

I'm not usually a fan of fine arts museums, but this one is in my barrio so I felt obliged to go. I'm sad I didn't go sooner, it really was quite a good collection of a talented painter's work. What pushes this over the edge from good to great is the simple fact that you are actually in Sorolla's family's house, and walking through the rooms where he kept his paintings. You can see how he and his family lived, because you're there. The fine arts museum of Valencia, unfortunately, can't compete. (Although you should visit all the same if you like Sorolla. It's why I decided to visit this museum in the first place!)

Such an incredible museum. It was once the home of the impressionist painter Joaquin Sorolla. His work is stunning and the house itself is beautiful. You walk through a garden to get to the house, and inside you can see, among other things, his studio and an exhibition with photos following Sorolla's life. It's a wonderful museum that's easy to miss, but I highly recommend it!

Excellent museum!! Sorolla was a great representative of impressionism, even though he is less famous than the french painters. Apart from the paintings, which are beautiful, the building ( artist's home) is a great sight itself. The discreet decoration of the rooms and the garden make it seem really elegant.
