  This is an amazing museum, even for those not that interested in ships. The museum is very big, and although there is not a lot of information available in English, it's still more than worth a visit if you don't understand Spanish. My favorite exhibit housed Mappa Mundi, a map of the Americas made in 1500 by a man that accompanied Columbus on a couple of his voyages.

  I did the 3 hour free guided tour though the museum (in Spanish only). Very very interesting. The guide was very passionate and was able to keep our attention for the full 3 hours. Get the guided tour or at least the audioguide or you won't be able to appreciate the museum. PS: The 3 euros admission is actually voluntary

  This museum is amazing and only 3 euros so make sure you visit. You could easily spend 2 hours here as there are 25 sections to visit. Go here before you go to the Prado museum.

  You are most likely coming here because you are a tourist that wants to see an interesting museum in Spain regarding their Naval history. You will arrive and see that it is 3€ for an adult and that young kids are free. You might worry that this is a cheap place. You will enter and see seemingly endless interesting exhibits featuring many interesting models ranging from the 16 century to modern day Spanish naval power. You will see historical guns, swords, cannons, bits of ships and learn a lot in the process. You will leave thinking they could charge 15€ per person and still get a lot of visitors. If you are in Madrid and are looking for something to do, try the Naval museum, because it's definitely worth it.

  This is a must see attraction in Madrid. The museum is very large and has items and models from the early exploration and naval times to current day. Allow some time to visit here as it's quite large and full of interesting things.
