  We went to the free admission slot but if we went back we'd definitely pay so that we had longer to look. This is a must do if you're even slightly interested in contemporary art.

  There seemed to be an attendant in each gallery who would watch you like a hawk.  At times when you would walk into an empty gallery they would follow you around carefully. It made me really uncomfortable towards the end and I just wanted to leave.  They would never smile or say hello even if you smiled.

  Very good collections. Organized and clean museum. Elders than 65 are free to go. Easy access by public transports. Very good for people with mobility issues.

  An impressive, but manageably sized, collection over a wide range of art history that one could do in a day. The breadth and depth of the collection was impressive, and made for a very satisfactory visit. The exhibit space and architecture was complimentary. The cafe is a very nice respite in appearance and offerings.

  During four different instances we were barked at by four different members of staff. These were for small things such as leaving the lift open for a group of women who wanted to use it.  During one incident, my partner stood a little close to a piece of work which set off an alarm.  He was two feet away and when an attendant saw he was getting close she followed him until the alarm set off in which she barked at him.  Bearing in mind there was no sign or even a black mark on the floor. If she saw he was getting close, give him a warning!

  A must go museum in Madrid. To see all the paints from Dali, Picasso, Miro and Gris is just incredible. Every time I go, I must spend at least 15 min contemplating el guernica
