  Superb quality. Very friendly and honest business dealings. They charge a remarkably modest price for their instruments for a family with craftsmanship so well refined. They stand behind their product, as well and are always quick to respond to any question of up-keep, specs, and recommendation. I have been playing my Audrey model professionally every weekend for the last year and her warm and crisp tone continues to inspire me. They have killed my lust for other guitars!

  The construction techniques are the same than Selmer-Maccaferri has been doing. However, sometimes it's way better because the quality of the materials and the attention to details are very high.

  Last week, we came to Madrid for the Congress from Turkey. We wanted to buy two guitars and went there by metro and we got off on the Baraja. Then, we got taxi to the address where it was written in the Facebook page. However, the taxi driver took us to a closed side road (C. zarzas I assumed). So we could not find Geronimo Mateos place. So, we bought two guitars from another Luthier in the central Madrid.

  En cuanto entras en el taller te envuelve el olor a madera, la pasiòn y el trato escrupuloso con el que sus dueños tratan y elaboran cada una de las piezas que forman ese instrumento final, al que como por arte de magia dan vida.   After visiting the Mateos workshop in Madrid, I bought a Toledo classical guitar with spruce top. It is everything I could've wanted in a hand made guitar. I can’t imagine playing on anything else now.
